Not *super* related to politics, but this is important. In the ’60s it was Chow Chows. Here’s the thing: a dog is a dog, not a breed. Some dogs are grumpy, just like humans. Joe and I have a medium-sized terrier who *looks* super friendly, but will bite your finger off if you pet him in the wrong place. I’ve met way more nasty small, adorable dogs than big one. Any dog is capable of being mean and poorly behaved. It depends on their health (ours has epilepsy, which makes him edgy) and, most importantly, on the owner.

Breed bans are inhumane, unfair, and often notably focused on low-income areas, where they can go in and take every dog who looks remotely like a pit bull and have it put down.

My German Shepherd is less likely to bite you compared to many toy dogs that I’ve met.

i agree with this is some ways but at the same time i hate pitballs. when i was younger i had this beautiful irish terrier, Kip, who was the nicest dog and would always stick her nose out of the hedge at the front of our house and one day this dog walker chick was walking two pitballs past my street and my dog stuck her nose out of the hedge, as she always did, but the pitbulls attacked her face and bit her muzzle. she was howling in terror and my mum came rushing out and the dog walker had no control over the dogs. My mum had to ram a hose in the pitbulls mouth to get it off of my dog. we took her to the vet, she had to get stitches and her muzzle was all cut up. as soon as we got home she went straight to her kennel and was from then onwards very nervous and frightened easily. and the pitbulls had never acted like that before and had a good owner. so yeah, i agree but at the same time i hate pitbulls because of how badly they hurt my dog.
